Clay Commons was born out of a desire to create a community of potters, to share resources, ideas, and deepen practices together.

how it works

an artist collective

We operate as an artists' collective which means each member shares responsibility in keeping the space fit for use. This means cleaning up after yourself, locking up, and helping to look after equipment within the space. Any profits from running the space will be returned to the running of free workshops, materials, and equipment maintenance and purchase.

studio facilities

  • pottery wheels

  • wood tables

  • bisque & glazing kiln

  • dedicated shelf & storage

  • private bathroom

  • cleaning facilities

*teaching privileges and membership breaks also available upon request.

membership

all-access

For the potter who wants flexibility and has a regular practice. The studio is open to you at all hours—day and night. Capacity for all-access potters is capped, as we want to ensure everyone is able to use the space effectively.

Starts at $2000 HKD / month; minimum  6 months term.

part-time access

Perfect for a once-a-week practice, this is designed for potters who are starting to incorporate clay into their routine. We offer part-time weekdays or weekends membership, where the studio can be booked up to 12 hours each month.

Starts at $1000 / month; minimum 3 months term.

hourly packages

If you're just starting out and aren't ready to commit to an all-access pass, we do offer some limited hourly packages for use. Membership terms will be valid for three months at a time, and range from 10-20 hours of studio access per month.

Starts at $1000 / month.
